      Hi Bimal,

I have never made amsotto in microwave. But, you can make it by pureeing the mangoes and then boil it with bay leaves and cinnamon. Then spread it thinly over a baking sheet and let it cool. Then cut into slices and enjoy.

However, now I am free from all sorts of official responsibility. I tried to make Amsotto through Micro wave but failed owing sufficient knowledge (i.e. selection of temperature etc.)on it. I will try for the next season. Now tel me how can I prepare Tandoori Chicken by easiest way in Microwave? and also be informed the settings of temp. etc.

Shalini am not sure what rosemary is called in Bengali. Plantain is kancha kaula, almost similar to banana, but not exactly the same. Tumi plantain-er kono recipe-r janne kancha kaula use korte paro. Cooking spray-er Bengali naam ache kina janina. Its just oil in a spray-able container.

Hi, great resource. Would be great if you could do common fruits as well.
Is it correct that the Bangla word for papaya is pepe? Does this have a meaning in Bangla?
For example the Hindi word for papaya is papali, which is comprised of two parts, pappa, meaning little child and ari
    meaning to destroy)

      Hi Sudarshana,
Chinre is Bengali for poha or flatenned rice. You can get a recipe in our blog – Chirer Pulao. I’m not sure about the amount of calories though

      Hi Sophia,
The Bengali name for Fig is dumur, fennel is mouri, pickles is achar. Gelatin doesn’t have any Bengali name. Am not very sure of the other two.

      Arko,
Vanilla is a type of bean, used for flavoring food mainly cakes, desserts and icecreams. You can find it in any grocery stores. The vanilla essence comes in small bottles or else you can even use the beans, which are much stronger flavor than the essence.
